Stef will be part of the AstroMonger exhibition at The Showroom in New York City from Jan. 15 to 18 2009. It's curated by the amazing Peter Kato and includes other great artists such as Richard Sala or Devilrobots. This is the press info on the show:

This show explores the relationship between the verbal and the visual by challenging artists to create works based solely on brief descriptions of historical monsters , creatures, cryptids, and yokai. each artist works from the imagination and in any medium s/he chooses to render the assigned monster. The artists agree not to engage in external reseach; they are barred from viewing existent renditions of these creatures whether online or in print. They work in a visual vacuum. The result is an archive of contemporary representations of the many bizarre and wonderful monsters of the world.

So, this is right up Ms Stef's alley, being a monster lover and monster depicting artist. She will also play at the private opening reception with Locas In Love. If you want to look at and/or buy cool monster art and happen to be in town, please feel free to come by.

Stef is still on tour with Locas In Love in Germany, has a xmas show with K-Dog and will play some US shows in January plus some more in Germany after that at the end of January 2009. Please make sure to get the new Locas album in the limited first edition that includes a hand-sewn linen bag for the CD/LP and many more things that make it an exciting objet and present. You can buy it everywhere and on amazon, but to assure that you get the limited edition, I highly recommend you order it from the band's website.

Two weeks ago the new Locas In Love Album WINTER was released to raving reviews. There are several videos and some more upcoming shows all of which you'll find on the band's website. If you are in the area where WDR3 radio is broadcast, please feel invited to turn the radio on tonight, an hour's programme edited by Stef will be on between 11.05 pm and midnight. If you can't listen to it on the radio, there will also be a webstream. Her show is called 'Accidental Hooks - Pop, coincedence and theory' and deals with exactly that. It's a very good and interesting show where among many others LD Beghtol or Mouse On Mars' Jan St Werner share some thoughts.

Our own Stef has returned to Cologne and is at this very minute finishing the last touches of the artwork for the new LOCAS IN LOVE LP and CD (to be released Nov 28 2008). She will be on tour with Locas Nov 28 to Dec 20 and play a xmas show with K-dog on Dec 23. K-Dog have also finished their new album but it won't be out till probably early or mid 2009. Right now, Stef is working on a few new thngs you will soon know more about, but talking about them before they are done, submitted and printed would maybe jinx them.

Good day, everybody! This is Bob Neutron speaking. I am pleased & proud to announce that Stefcom is finally back online. Please explore Stefanie's new site and join the French Bébés Plastique & Magnifique along with their pal Partsman in their celebration and come back whenever you want. We will keep updating the site adding old and new things whenever possible (and whenever we feel the need to do so).
Stefanie is really busy at the moment. She has just finished recording the new Karpatenhund album and is still working on the new album by Locas In Love. In a few days she will leave for New York to finish those albums, play a NYC show with LIL (on Sept 9) and do things. You know. Here's to the future, enjoy.
